Our 48 hour trip to Canada!

We were waiting day by day to see if the weather was going to clear up to make it possible to drive to Canada for my cousin, Craig's wedding. Finally, we just decided to do it. We had beautiful weather the whole way. It actually went up to 56 degrees in Montana! They got married in Cardston, which is 8 hrs from Rexburg. We hopped in the car, packed up all our snow gear just in case we ran into any trouble, and made it by 6:30PM for the family dinner! My parents were also married in the Cardston Temple, along with many of my cousins, lots of my uncles and aunts, and my grandparents! The family dinner on Friday was great. My aunt, Craig's mom, catered the dinner. It was so good.

These are my now grown up cousins. They are all over 15 years old and I forgot how long it has been since I had seen them!

here's Craig and Kyla

After the dinner, Ryan and I drove up to the temple. It is GORGEOUS at night. It took my breath away!

The sealing was Saturday morning and it was a wonderful experience being inside the Temple with all my extended family. Craig and Kyla looked so happy and I am so grateful we made the trip to spend this time with them!

It was such a quick trip but we promised everyone that we would go up for a longer visit this summer. Ryan loved Canada. It was his first time up there and he loved my extended family. And they loved him!!

Happy Love Day!

I promise I won't bore you to death about how much I love Ryan and Valentine's Day is special when you love love someone....so I'll just skip to the festivities.

Side note: Ryan exceeded above and beyond this year. He took care of every meal and I was so happy about that! Relaxing is what I do best!

Mama Briggs sent us a fun package full of Valentine's goodies. Included was an adorable heart shaped pan with a strawberry cake mix.

Then we bummed around until 3, went to the gym, came back and got cleaned up. We decided to make a nice dinner at home instead of bothering to go out to eat. I mean seriously, we have 3 choices here in Rexburg: Wingers, Applebees or Taco Bell. So Ryan bought some beautiful steaks and he prepared a Caesar salad, peppercorn steak, and garlic mash potatoes. So yummy!

Our table setting! All done by Ryan!

So Happy and In LOVE!

We love you Bryce and McKenzie!

Our best friends, Bryce and McKenzie Ricks came into town on Friday. Their family comes up to Rexburg to go snow "machining" in West Yellowstone practically every winter. McKenzie and I met while playing competitive soccer one fall semester years ago. And Bryce was in my ward. When I came out to visit Ryan last winter semester, we hung out with Bryce and McKenzie and I was so happy because they loved Ryan! And turns out, Bryce and Ryan share the same middle name! Which happens to be Larry, after their dads....also named Larry! Crazyyyy.....

Anyways, we met them at Big Judd's on Friday. For those of you who don't know what Big Judd's is, don't feel left out. It is ia hole in the wall burger place. The burgers are awesome buuuut they make a single, which is 1 lb. pattie, a double which is 2 1 lb. patties, and a triple which is 3 1 lb. patties. If you finish one of these, you get your picture taken and put on the wall. EW. The last time we went, Bryce finished a single and almost died. I told Ryan before hand that should he feel pressure to finish one of these single's....that he should not do it! EW. So...here are some fun pictures!
