Attack the purple ball!

We will be busy watching General Conference this weekend. Tune in! See ya, Monday!

but for your viewing pleasure, take a look at this vid.
I took this video of Brinley the other day and she absolutely cracked me up. Where does this girl get her energy sometimes!? She carried around the tunnel and the ladybug face for the majority of the day.

and for some weird childish reason, I always feel weird saying ball. Is it just me?

Wanna come over for dinner??

BOX

TABLE!

MESSSSSY ROOM! I had to put it all in our bedroom because Brinley was wanting to help. Bless her heart. She always wants to be involved. I also washed all our bedding...bad idea. I didn't know that our dining set was coming today so I decided to wash our bedding! Our room was a MESS the whole day and it really stressed Ry out when he got home from work! Oops :-)

Taaa daaaaa!
(yes I realize the table and picture aren't centered, but they are now!)

Isn't our new table GORGEOUS??? We are in love. I found a wonderful website that had free shipping and we had to go for it. This table had wonderful reviews and it was the perfect size for us, and for our small eating area. The boxes came around 1pm and I got started putting them together. I had about an hour while the babes were asleep and I got the table and one chair together. Chairs 2-4 went super fast after that. We put Brinley to bed after EATING on the table (what a dream!) and then screwed the seats onto the chair frame. We were picky about the type of dining set because we wanted the wood seat, not a cushion. I'm happy we decided with this table and chairs because they look so dang sleek! I am in love. I pride myself in being able to build anything IKEA because of the nifty pieces and screws. This table wasn't from IKEA, but the screws were basically IKEA. Same allen wrench :-) Building anything seems to put a damper on our marriage, so I just went ahead and built it all by myself. I loooooved it. You know when you go to IKEA and see employees building sets? and they always look so stressed?? ooooh my gosh, that is my dream job! You know it!

So of course after getting our table set up, I got all anxious and rearranged practically our whole house. I finally put our favorite wedding picture above our bed.
doesn't our room look great! It is complete, for now :-)

and I moved the mirror that was above our bed to our living room. This isn't the final above the couch piece, but for now, I NEED to have something above the couch. It is sooo boring with nothing on the wall. I think it looks okay, but this mirror isn't really us anymore.
I spy a law book

So there you go! We proved that you can TOTALLY live off of a card table and $9.99 chairs from Walmart for a year. The table shook every slight bump, cutting into anything felt like an earthquake, and our glasses were frequently spilled. But, we are so grateful we had it! And now we have seating for 8!! Dinner party anyone??

terribly happy

One of my favorite blogs on my reader is The Rockstar Diaries. Cutest family. I wanted to copy her and write down some things that have been making me terribly happy lately. It is important to turn those mundane things into something majestic. Lately, Brinley has been testing my every button and I have gotten pretty frustrated. How many times do I need to ask her to not get up onto the table? Or that slapping my face 50 times is not okay? Even when I calmly ask her something, she yells, "No way jose!!!!" This new toddler phase is new to me and I don't know what to do. I need to buy a self-help book or something. Staying indoors Mon-Fri drives me crazy and it drives her crazy too. I am counting the days until my daycare duties are over and when Brinley and I can go back to just me and her doing whatever we want to that day. When will that day come? It isn't for awhile unfortunately. So, in light of the new pep in my step, here is my list.

10 things that are making me terribly happy:
1. a carton of Blue Bell ice cream in my freezer. Doesn't happen often because it never lasts more than 2 days.
2. when Brinley initiates a smooch by puckering up those cute baby lips and leans towards me. ahhh melts my heart.
3. sleeping in on Sunday mornings.
4. Brinley grabbing my hand and saying, "Come Mama!"
5. saying her first prayer almost perfectly, with our help, but repeating all of the phrases and saying "Dear Heavenly Father" sooooo cute.
6. Friday night dates with Ry. Usually involves a mean game of scrabble, laughing about our week, and joking about how incredibly tired we are but still don't seem to care about going to bed early.
7. getting a good phone call from my doctor about my blood tests.
8. while in Portland, we were fooled into thinking our Florida fall was around the corner, but being able to wear a hoodie and jeans made me terribly happy so now I wait week after week for the temps to cool down. losing hope...
9. being together with my siblings and laughing over anything and everything.
10. watching a show with Brinley, dosing a bit, but being woken up by her twirling her hair in your face. or sticking her finger up my nose to wake me up (don't ask).

What are your 10 things that make you terribly happy?
I know that it is important to remember those little things in your day that make you happy. I don't know about you, but after the forth day in a row of the same thing over and over again, life can get pretty frustrating. Especially when all you do is serve your children or husband. Which is great, don't get me wrong, but remember that YOU are also in the equation. Can't forget about yo' self! So, being able to identify those little majestic things helps get you through the week with a smile on your face.
