Canada Trip 2: Waterton and Checking In

We packed up and made the 4 hour drive south to Mountain View. My cousins wife found this Inn that holds around 60 people. We definitely needed this space because there were 60 of us, not including babies. The Inn was pretty much in the middle of nowhere, but it was set in the most beautiful countryside with mountains all around. The Inn was beautiful and it was big enough for the entire group.

We met up with my brother and his wifey Cassandra in Waterton, just a few minutes from Mountain View. They woke up and started driving at 1:30am on Friday in order to make it to the reunion! When we found them, they were asleep in their car. What troopers! We had a few hours to kill before checking in at the Inn, so we found lunch at Wiener's (the best place ever!!) and walked the streets. It was quite chilly with the wind, but the sun was out and we were all happy to be there!

 

 

The next few hours were complete chaos. So many vans pulling in at the same time. So many family members to hug. SO many bags to bring in. I made the suggestion before we came to have a sign for every body's names to put on their bedroom doors. This worked out so well because there were doors everywhere and it was pretty chaotic getting everyone settled. By dinner time, everyone was here! We were all so happy. and everyone was willing to pitch in. Every meal was prepared and cleaned up by one of the families (our family, my aunts family, or my uncles family). This worked out perfectly. The meals were planned perfectly, and there was plenty of food for everyone. There were 30 kids running around constantly, but there was a nice jungle gym playground outside and a big grassy field for them to run around. Brinley seemed quite attached to her closest cousins, Benjamin and Carter, but by the end of the weekend, she branched out to her girl cousins who wanted to play princess instead of transformers.
